7.3.3.3. Trader Account Reports

A trader is a firm or individual that makes transactions in commodities futures or options for its own account or an account that it controls.

A trader that owns, holds, or controls a reportable futures or option position must keep books and records showing all details concerning those commodity positions on all reporting markets, over the counter markets, and foreign boards of trade. It must also keep books and records showing all details concerning those positions and furnish that information to the CFTC on request.
